The LGM75C special double disc grinding machine for connecting rods is a through-type high-efficiency machine independently developed by our company based on the digestion and absorption of advanced design concepts from both domestic and international sources. It holds a number of independent intellectual property rights. The machine was once listed as a key project under the "Four Plans" for small and medium-sized enterprises and the "Promotion of Structural Adjustment" in Shandong Province, and has received a provincial science and technology innovation award. Experts participating in the appraisal considered the machine to be relatively novel and unique in design, with certain advantages in overall technology within China, offering high precision, stable performance, and relatively quick and convenient changeover between workpiece types. It meets the processing requirements of connecting rods and is equipped with dedicated conveying channels for loading and unloading, making it suitable for high-efficiency mass production in automated connecting rod production lines.

 

During processing, connecting rods are automatically loaded and unloaded using an automatic hanging arrangement, which helps avoid collision damage and reduces labor intensity, while grinding and feeding times are well aligned. The connecting rods being ground are isolated from each other to prevent mutual impact, feeding is stable, and few if any connecting rods remain in the grinding area after the machine stops. The grinding wheel dressing frequency can be preset; when the set processing quantity is reached, the wheel automatically retracts for dressing, then returns to the grinding position, and the system automatically resumes feeding and grinding without manual intervention. The grinding wheel cover can be raised and lowered automatically, and is equipped with interlock devices between the cover and grinding head rotation, as well as between dressing and grinding. The processing area is fully enclosed, and automatic washing is provided at the discharge position. These features contribute to a relatively high degree of automation and operational safety.

The system includes historical data query functions, allowing users to check the processing quantity per shift, cumulative processing quantity, and cumulative machine operating records. When the grinding wheel wears down to the limit size, the machine provides both mechanical and electrical alarms and protection functions; at that point, the machine automatically stops feeding and triggers an audible and visual alarm. The grinding head movement uses V-shaped steel inlaid needle roller rails, achieving grinding through integral movement, which provides good rigidity. The spindle is equipped with a constant-force load pre-tensioning system, allowing for a larger depth of cut and higher precision. The dresser has an integral structure, dressing both grinding wheels simultaneously, offering good rigidity and dressing accuracy, and supporting automatic dressing and compensation. The water treatment system includes a constant temperature chiller, a magnetic separation system, a paper belt filtration and purification system, three sets of water pumps, two sets of water level control systems, two sets of water tanks, and two slag receiving trolleys.

 

Regarding working accuracy (which varies with different workpieces): parallel difference 0.01mm, flatness 0.01mm, thickness difference 0.015mm, surface roughness Ra0.8μm.
