The precision double disc grinding machine (Model SX100-5W) is suitable for high-precision processing of both end faces of parts with various shapes and materials. It is particularly applicable to workpieces such as air conditioning compressor cylinders, silicon blocks, monocrystalline silicon wafers, cross shafts, and valve blocks. Such workpieces often have large allowances and high precision requirements, and the machine can grind them to finished products in a single pass. The main structure consists of a main bed, front bed, left and right grinding heads, left and right carriages, left and right feed compensation mechanisms, a grinding wheel dressing mechanism, a reciprocating feeding mechanism, a special fixture, a special silo, a truss manipulator, loading and unloading systems, an automatic lubrication system, and a four-axis CNC system. The machine supports automatic loading and unloading.

In terms of processing method, the machine can complete double-side grinding in one clamping, reducing errors caused by multiple clampings. The bed is designed with heat insulation, helping to maintain accuracy during long periods of continuous operation. The system includes historical data recording and query functions, allowing users to check the processing quantity per shift, cumulative processing quantity, and cumulative machine operating records.

The grinding wheel dressing frequency can be preset. When the set processing quantity is reached, the grinding wheel automatically retracts for dressing and performs automatic compensation, then returns to the grinding position. Manual dressing is also available. When the grinding wheel wears to the limit size, the feeding mechanism automatically stops feeding and triggers an audible and visual alarm. The grinding wheel protective cover can be raised and lowered automatically, with interlock safety features between the cover and grinding head rotation, as well as between dressing and grinding, enhancing operational safety.

In addition, the machine features material jamming protection and fault self-diagnosis, providing timely alarms in case of faults or jamming. Different automatic loading and unloading mechanisms can be added according to the shape of the parts. An independent coolant circulation system with constant temperature control is provided. The coolant system adopts two-stage filtration: the first stage is a magnetic drum separator, and the second stage is a paper belt filter with filtration accuracy better than 20μm, along with a water level alarm.
