The SX100-5W2 thinning machine is particularly suitable for thinner workpieces, with a minimum grinding thickness of 0.45mm. It can perform high-precision grinding of both end faces of parts with complex shapes and different materials, addressing the need to grind workpieces with large allowances and high precision requirements to finished products in a single pass. Typical applications include double-side grinding and thinning of thin parts such as ceramic cover plates, ceramic substrates, ceramic sheets, mobile phone backplanes, polygonal ceramic pieces, special-shaped gaskets, and quartz crystals.

The machine bed features thermal insulation, which helps maintain stable precision during prolonged continuous operation. The grinding wheel feed utilizes a high-precision ball screw, while the guideways are V-shaped steel-inlaid needle roller guideways. The grinding head employs a monoblock movement mechanism for grinding rather than a spindle-telescoping method; this approach enhances rigidity and ensures a more stable machining process. The dressing unit features a monolithic structure that dresses both grinding wheels simultaneously, ensuring high dressing accuracy and enabling automatic dressing and compensation. The grinding wheel dressing frequency can be preset; once the processing count reaches the set value, the grinding wheels automatically undergo dressing and compensation. Upon completion of dressing, the loading mechanism automatically restarts to continue grinding, with the entire process requiring no manual intervention. When the grinding wheel wears down to its limit dimension, the feeding mechanism automatically stops feeding and triggers an audible and visual alarm. The grinding wheel guard can be raised and lowered automatically and is equipped with interlock safety devices for guard movement and grinding head rotation, as well as for dressing and grinding operations, thereby enhancing operational safety to a certain extent. The coolant circulation system features temperature control and employs a two-stage filtration process: the first stage uses a magnetic-roller separator, and the second stage uses a paper-belt filter, both equipped with a water level alarm. Additionally, depending on the shape of the parts, different automatic loading and unloading mechanisms can be selected for installation.
