Connecting Rod Production Line
When installing this type of conveyor belt on an actual production line, the first things to consider are floor flatness and the overall horizontal level of the belt. Although the equipment already has adjustable feet and fixing brackets at the bottom, it still takes some careful on-site adjustment to ensure that the V-shaped groove is not twisted along its entire length. We once encountered a customer's workshop where the floor had a slight slope due to long-term use. As a result, the connecting rods always tended to drift to one side during transport. The problem was solved by adjusting the adjustable feet to level the entire conveyor belt. In addition, the height adjustment mechanism of the V-shaped groove is a part that requires regular inspection. The design adjustment range of this mechanism is 60 mm, which covers most common connecting rod sizes. However, if the production line frequently switches between different models of connecting rods, it is advisable to re-check the V-groove height and tilt angle after each change, because different connecting rods have different centres of gravity – even a small height deviation can affect transport stability.
The power unit uses an integrated geared motor of 0.25 kW, which is a relatively economical power configuration for connecting rod transport. The motor and gearbox are directly coupled without a coupling, so daily maintenance mainly involves checking the motor cooling and the oil level in the gearbox. Some users have reported slight abnormal noises after a period of operation, and the cause turned out to be loose anchor bolts – the problem was solved after re-tightening. Therefore, it is recommended to check all fasteners approximately every three months. The safety guard net outside the transmission mechanism should also be protected from impact deformation, which could otherwise interfere with the internal moving parts. Although the liquid collection tray seems like a small component, if the oil and cleaning fluid it collects are not emptied in time, they can develop odours over time – it is best to empty it once a week.
