After a certain period of use, any machine requires regular lubrication due to the different components it uses. Machine tools have numerous and complex lubrication points, and many machines are lubricated simultaneously. Therefore, we should understand the lubrication methods for double-end surface grinders.

- Oil Ring Lubrication: Rotating parts pass through an oil sump, carrying or splashing oil to the lubrication points.
- Drip Lubrication: Lubricating oil drips onto friction points by its own weight (usually using a needle valve drip cup).
- Scraper Lubrication: Rotating parts pass through an oil sump, carrying or splashing oil to the lubrication points.
- Oil Rope Lubrication: Utilizing the capillary action of an oil rope immersed in oil or the negative pressure created by a rotating shaft for self-priming lubrication.
- Oil Pad Lubrication: Utilizing the capillary action of an oil pad immersed in oil or the negative pressure created by a rotating shaft for self-priming lubrication.
- Jet Lubrication: Using an oil pump to inject high-pressure oil through a nozzle into the lubrication points.
- Self-priming lubrication: Lubrication is achieved by immersion in the negative pressure created by the rotating shaft.
- Manual lubrication: Lubricating oil or grease is applied to the friction points by hand.
- Centrifugal lubrication: Under the action of centrifugal force, lubricating oil flows continuously along a conical surface to the lubrication point.
- Oil bath lubrication: The friction surfaces are partially or completely immersed in machine tool lubricating oil during operation.
- Splash lubrication: Rotating parts pass through an oil bath in the machine tool, carrying or splashing oil onto the lubrication points.
